New business manager
Anthony sources and cultivates new opportunities to promote and involve Rentplus in development schemes across the country, so that as many people as possible can benefit from its tenure. The challenge is to ensure that these schemes will be suitable and affordable.
Another prominent player in the South West housing sector, Anthony graduated from Reading University with a degree in Land Management and joined a regional surveying practice, where he gained his professional qualifications before going on to specialise in planning and development. He spent several years offering development consultancy across the region before his appointment by Rentplus in 2014.
He says: “I was attracted to Rentplus because of the prospect of working with a small focused team to deliver something new that has real social benefits. We are very much at the front end because without new development opportunities, we cannot house those in need.
“I have been very proud to be involved in the early set-up of this innovative housing model. Being able to work on a project from breaking ground on a development scheme, through to handing the keys to a family that is in need of a decent, modern, affordable home is very fulfilling.”
Anthony believes that the need for the Rentplus offer is pressing and will continue as long as lower-than-required levels of house building remains, with the knock-on effect that house price inflation will stay way ahead of wage growth.
