Rent to Buy

Rentplus is an award winning affordable rent to buy provider, working across England and expanding into Wales.

How do I apply to be a Rentplus tenant

Rentplus works with local authorities and housing associations. It does not allocate Rentplus homes directly to tenants. Local authorities determine who is eligible to apply for Rentplus homes in their area. In many cases, local authorities are looking to target those households who are in the middle to lower bandings on their choice based letting schemes and/or households on their ‘Help to Buy’ register.

Local authorities may also consider other criteria such as ‘is the tenant freeing up an existing affordable rented home’ which could be used to house priority needs households. Housing Associations will also look at aspirant homeowners who considered shared ownership but could not raise the deposit required for this tenure.

An unique feature of Rentplus is that tenants receive a gifted deposit of ten per cent of the property’s market value at the time of purchase.

As our homes are built with ownership in mind, they offer:

  • A range of property sizes, from one to four bedrooms
  • High quality and design for contemporary living
  • Reduced fuel bills and environmental benefits through a range of energy efficient features.

Ask your local authority or housing association about Rentplus properties or email Rentplus for more information at marketing@rentplus-uk.com
