David Marshall

David is a specialist in all aspects of corporate finance, M&A and private equity. He led his first cross-border, leveraged MBO in 1983 and over the following years successfully led and completed several hundred transactions in the UK, Europe, South-East Asia and the US. His roles have included principal investor, equity partner, corporate finance and M&A adviser or lender (mezzanine and senior debt) on deals ranging from £100,000 to more than £2bn. He is the managing partner of Griffon Capital, his corporate finance advisory company.

Peter George

Peter has more than 30 years’ experience at senior management and board level in the pharmaceutical, pharma services, CRO, healthcare and life sciences, publishing and business intelligence sectors. This includes 12 years as CEO and 5 as a non-executive director.

His achievements include leading a £67m MBO of Penn Pharma in 2007, being named as European Private Equity CEO of the Year in 2010, and in 2012 overseeing one of the most successful recent floats on Aim as CEO of Clinigen.

Peter was chairman of Rentplus from 2018 until December 2019 and is president of Enigma Holdings Group, Ergomed and Benchmark Holdings. He is also chairman or a director of Mitre Group, XPG Holdings, Marco Polo Events (UK Challenge) and Eminent Sports Group (ESG).

Sir Gary Streeter MP

Sir Gary is MP for South-West Devon and has held several front-bench, ministerial posts. Before entering politics, he was a partner at a large local law firm and served on Plymouth City Council for six years, two as chairman of housing. He was awarded a knighthood for public service in the 2019 New Year’s Honours.

Steve Collins

Steve has worked for more than 25 years in both public and private housing and development sectors.

Before joining Rentplus, he held a senior role at the Homes and Communities Agency where he was responsible for more than 42 government programmes worth a total of some £900m pa. The programmes were aimed at accelerating the delivery of affordable and market housing and public sector land across the East and South-East of England.

Steve has also held a number of non-executive positions at regeneration and development companies and until recently was chairman of the Norwich Strategic Partnership.

Richard Pillar

Rich has spent more than 20 years in the housing and construction sectors as a property developer. His experience covers affordable and first-time homes, key-worker accommodation for the NHS, student halls of residence as well as retail, leisure and office developments. He is a widely respected authority on all aspects of development, planning, design and delivery and is particularly interested in sustainability. He founded Rentplus in 2013.

Steve Collins

Steve was appointed CEO at Rentplus in October 2017. He has over 28 years’ experience, including 14 years in a senior leadership role at the government’s national housing and regeneration agency. His career spans the delivery of infrastructure, housing and regeneration sectors. He is passionate about helping to deliver homes for people in places they want to live and which they can afford. Ian Cushing

Ian has a first class honours degree in Financial Mathematics (BSc) and has spent much of his working career in private SME sectors. He has significant experience in financial strategic development and operational business delivery. He has a passion for success and is highly motivated, this has been proven in his past working history where most recently he was finance director in the retail sector managing all aspects of operation and financial management with responsibility for the smooth running of a retail chain of 11 stores across the south of England. Robin Falle

Robin joined the original founders of Rentplus in 2014 as a consultant to the company to assist with the development and promotion of the Rentplus product with the volume housebuilding sector across an ever widening operational areas background is in commercial property consultancy where he specialised in residential land assembly, land disposal and acquisition. Robin has “grown up” alongside Rentplus and remains as motivated as ever to assist hardworking families into home ownership.

Lawrence McNickle

Lawrence McNickle joins Rentplus in what is shaping up to be a pivotal year for the business which continues to grow across the country. With over 30 years’ experience in the housing sector, Lawrence has worked across the estate agency, property construction and development, and social and affordable housing sectors. For the last six years he worked with Auxesia Homes, working with developers to purchase S106 homes.

Lawrence adds: There’s a strong push to deliver a Levelling Up agenda across the North and Rentplus has an ambitious growth strategy for the region and I am looking forward to delivering this.

Liz Williams

Liz joined Rentplus in October 2021 with over 30 years’ experience in both the private residential development and social housing sectors. Qualified in construction, Liz is an expert in every aspect of the housebuilding construction process from inception through to delivery and asset management. Passionate about the best housing provision being essential to sustainable communities Liz believes they provide a driver for social economic growth, resilience and sustainability. “To me, Rentplus enables social mobility and forms an exciting opportunity to use diversification to facilitate more home ownership thus unblocking housing waiting lists. I’m truly dedicated to the housing industry and the people we house. I’m delighted to have joined Rentplus and very excited about making a difference.”

At home Liz is a passionate animal lover, enjoying being with her horses and dogs at home in rural Herefordshire. Liz is a self confessed “feeder” and loves to cook and bake, as well any opportunity to enjoy socialising especially if it involves fundraising for charity.

Emma George

Emma has over 20 years’ property experience gained both in private and public sector, in sales and rentals. In addition to a strong policy background gained in local authority. she comes to us fresh off the success of establishing a private rented sector housing company within a local authority setting in South Cambridgeshire. Emma says she lives, breath and eats property and says Rentplus is her next natural step. She is keen to make home ownership a reality for all and looks forward to seeing Rentplus rolled out across the region. Emma has also set up a local food bank and worked with schools to educate children about social issues. Based in Milton Keynes.

James Wilson

James joined Rentplus in October 2020 as an Area Manager in our South West region. He is a general practise surveyor with a Masters in Business Administration and has considerable experience and expertise in property development and asset management activities for commercial and residential property. James has managed housing and regeneration programmes throughout the SW having worked at local authorities, the Regional Development Agency, Government Office SW and with housing associations. He lives in the South Devon and is married to Rachel, and they have two daughters.

Yvonne Mills

Yvonne joined the team in February 2024 as Housing Director for the South of England, working alongside Emma George (South East) and James Wilson (South West) to support the growing expansion of the Rentplus offer across the whole of the South. Yvonne brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience across social and affordable housing with a background working with housing associations and housing development.

Originally from Hertfordshire, Yvonne moved to Dorset where she enjoys playing competition Badminton in the Dorset league, and walking her Cavapoo, Mitsy, on local Poole beaches.

Gareth Fitzpatrick

Gareth joined the team in November 2017. He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Institute of Residential Property Management. He has worked as a Regional Manager for a large national Housing Association developing supported housing across the UK and as a Senior Manager for several Housing Associations delivering quality services in tenancy management, leasehold services, allocations, shared ownership, rent to buy, and property sales. He also enjoys tinkering with cars and helps run a European Banger Rally to raise money for charity.
